Stylos Apartment Mi Tierra Madre is located in the middle of nature, in the village of Stylos, in the beautiful province of Apokoronas in the Prefecture of Chania. An ideal place for holidays because it combines picturesque villages, mountains, lakes and sea. It is between two of the most beautiful cities of Crete, Chania and Rethymno.
The house
It is a comfortable ground floor house of 95m2 with parking, capable of hosting 5 people in its 3 bedrooms. There is an outdoor area where lunch or dinner becomes more enjoyable, with the trees and mountains as a backdrop.
The area
The village of Stylos is a beautiful and green place, with springs. You will find a market, cafes, taverns with excellent grilled meats. If you need a pharmacy, there is one in the neighboring Nio Chorio. For your dogs, there is the White Hill guesthouse that can accommodate them if you want to go on a long excursion. There is also a 5X5 football field. Nearby there is the peaceful village of Samonas, with stunning views and also traditional Cretan cuisine. From Stylos you can easily enjoy the sea, on the beaches of the Côte d’Azur or Almyrida and enjoy fresh fish, on the waves. Do not forget to go to Lake Kournas, for swimming, pedal boating, walking and fine food in the taverns, with a view of the lake and the mountain. Wander through the picturesque villages of Vamos, Vrysses, Gavalochori, Douliana and enjoy in the traditional cafes, food, coffee, local wine and Cretan tsikoudia! If you come by boat, the distance from the port of Souda is about 15 minutes, by car. If you arrive by plane, it will take you about 40 minutes, by car.
The National Road is 5-7 minutes away. We turn west and after about 12 km, we are in one of the most beautiful cities in Greece, Chania with the famous Venetian Port. If you want, you can continue to discover other magical areas of the Chania Prefecture (Falasarna, Elafonisi, Balo, Paleochora, etc.).
If you turn east, you have a large part of Crete in front of you. At a distance of about 50 km, there is the magical Rethymno, at about 125 km the cosmopolitan Heraklion, at 145 km Knossos and countless other, wonderful places on the island!
